Multifilament, biological, non-absorbable suture made of natural silk, braided and coated.
These sutures are indicated in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, in gastrointestinal surgery, skin suture, ophthalmic procedures, oral surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology.
Waxed or siliconed.

Properties | - While silk sutures are not absorbed, progressive degradation of the silk fibers in vivo may result in gradual loss of the suture’s tensile strength over time.
- Soft, with safe & easy knot tie down due to the braided structure, silk suture is the standard for malleability for sutures.
- At the same time, the coated silk is atraumatic and with a smooth transition through the tissues due to its external coating which makes it a virtual monofilament.
